Transportation of the part from Port Klang, Malaysia to its final destination located in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador. The project included the loading of the tower onto to the ship at Malaysia, the international transport to the port of Manta, Ecuador, in a RORO ship, the unloading at said port in MPB, the transfer with cranes from the MPBs to the special platform and the final transportation of the part to the plant of the client.

Challenge:

Due to the height of the tower, of 4.75 meters, and the longitude of more than 25 meters, it was very complex to be able to do the load/unload of the part from the RORO ship. The bases of the tower had to be modified and use of MPB equipment instead of Mafis in such a way as to be able to maneuver the part with more flexibility and thus be able to load and unload it through the ship’s platform. Besides, it was required to process special permits for the transportation of the part in Ecuador to the final destination.
