- Transfer of equipment, food and supplies to the Antarctica.
- 10 SOC containers
Transportation of equipment and supplies for the Pedro Vicente Maldonado scientific mission. The project included, the documentary processing of the shipment, customs dispatch, loading of containers, transportation to Port, international transportation to Punta Arenas, Chile, coordination with the Chilean Navy for the transfer from Punta Arena to Antarctic and the unloading on the base.
Challenge:
This project was to be done with lots of precision at all steps since the Navy ship that would carry the load from Punta Arenas to the Antarctica had a fixed date for sailing. This meant that there was no possibility of delays in the logistics chain, otherwise, the load would not reach the ship and would stay at Punta Arenas affecting the group of scientists that were already at the Vicente Maldonado station.
